The Gifts of Christmas
And lastly their treasure. “They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” Matt 2:11 NLT
We worship our Savior and King in the same manner through our time, talent and treasure. We don’t directly give those to Jesus, as the wise men did, instead we give to his kingdom work.
Four:10 Ministries has been so blessed again this year by your gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Many of you volunteered using your time and talent. And others of you gave of your treasure. These all add up to provide hope, healing, and empowerment to our women. You are changing women’s lives through your worship of the King of Kings! We pray you have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.
God is so good!
What precipitated the change? Many factors contributed to her change, for example joining a recovery group at Recovery Cafe. Every week she faithfully attends because she has found a group that keeps her accountable and encourages her.
She began participating in the Bible Study at The Well. She is growing in her faith once again. She sees God working in her life and changing her desires. Amber another former dancer who is in Bible Study challenges Kendra to get into the word more. Amber shares verses with her and inspiring videos. How amazing to watch them spur one another on in their faith.
She dove back into therapy working on her past traumas. She is now working through EMDR to heal many of her areas of woundedness. The healing brings freedom from the past controlling her present. This will be a long journey but she was brave enough to take the first step.
We have many stories to celebrate this Christmas. Kendra’s story is just one of them. Thank you for joining the Four:10 family. Your partnership and love has made these changes possible for our women. We are excited to see what God will do in 2025 to create more stories of change.
